i love my hometown. it is a city full of vigor and vitality.

有很多文人骚客在此留下千古的名篇。其中，最著名的莫过于充满传奇色彩的黄鹤楼。唐朝诗人李白曾经在这里写下过一首诗“黄鹤楼中吹玉笛，江城五月落梅花。”在黄鹤楼里吹着玉笛，武汉五月的梅花就纷纷落下，多好的诗呀！还有崔颢的“晴川历历汉阳树，芳草萋萋鹦鹉洲。”
武汉的水美，长江和汉水将武汉分割为三镇：武昌、汉口和汉阳，而大大小小上百个湖泊就像一块块翡翠点缀在三镇中。中国最大的城中湖座落在武昌珞珈山畔。晴天，阳光下的湖面就如同一颗颗钻石镶嵌的镜子，又仿佛像铺上了一条景色的毯子。
在武汉，我最喜欢的地方就是古琴台。古琴台，又名俞伯牙台，是荆楚大地著名的风景旅游胜地，是武汉最著名的音乐文化古迹，也是湖北省武汉市重点文物保护单位之一。

初来乍到可能大家不了解武汉，我向大家简单介绍一下武汉吧。滨江滨湖的武汉，素有“百湖之市”美称。武汉现在究竟有多少湖泊，市水务局公布准确数字：147个。虽然因为历史变迁少了一些湖泊，但这么多湖，这是任何一个城市都不能比的。还有，大家应该知道三大火炉城市是重庆、武汉、南京。虽然武汉这种炎热的天气造就了武汉人天生的坏脾气，但武汉人十分爱自己的家乡，都想把武汉建设的富饶起来，所以武汉的经济发展十分迅速，处于一种欣欣向荣的形态。
还有武汉的小吃也十分有名，例如武汉的热干面，那可算是武汉的代表小吃呀。如果你想吃武汉小吃的话，就可以到户部巷去吃正宗小吃，什么热干面、汤包……都有，不怕你吃不饱。
武汉的名胜古迹十分得多，例如：黄鹤楼、归元寺、古琴台……但最有名的应该属于黄鹤楼和古琴台了，特别是古琴台，传说钟子期死后，于伯牙就在这里摔断了琴，所以后人称这里为“古琴台”了。
到了晚上，武汉更是漂亮，那灯光绚丽夺目，令人眼花缭乱，啊，武汉的夜景真美呀!

武汉，作为“三大火炉城市之首”是当之无愧的，夏季的最高气温达到了40。3度呢!这里还有一个歇后语呢，夏天穿棉袄—捂汗—(武汉)。不过这样的温度，让武汉人跟其他人不一样，炼就一身豪爽的性格，并且武汉人非常的直接，喜欢交朋友，热情好客!
另外，武汉的小吃也非常的出名。比如蔡林记的热干面啦，四季美的汤包啦，谈炎记的水饺啦，五芳斋的汤圆啦，还有老通城的豆皮。在我家对面的小吃城就有就有豆皮呢!非常的抢手，八点半以后就没有了，而我也仅吃过几次，味道非常的鲜美，真的是非常好吃呢。
武汉还有许多著名的景点，例如“古琴台”。相传古时候，战国时期的俞伯牙弹得一手好琴，而钟子期也能听懂他所表达的意境，于是他俩成为了知音，过了一年，俞伯牙再来相会，钟子期却病故了!伯牙悲痛万分，扯断琴弦，从此不再弹琴!有了这个故事，便使“知音”这个词升华为对友情的忠诚不渝。而我们武汉人不就是这样吗?

wuhan has an old history and rich cultural traditions. it began to prosper as a commercial town about two thousand years ago when it was called yingwuzhou (parrot beach). from the first century to the beginning of the third century the towns of hanyang and wuchang began to take shape. during the song dynasty (960-1279) the area became one of the most prosperous commercial centers along the yangtze river. by the end of the ming dynasty (1368-1644) hankou had become one of the four most famous cities in china.
today wuhan is the political economic and cultural center of central china. it boasts of one of china‘s leading iron and steel complexes -- the wuhan iron and steel corporation. wuhan is also a city with a strong revolutionary tradition.

说起武汉，你一定听说过东湖吧?东湖位于武汉市武昌区，那里的自然环境得天独厚，风景优美。东湖水面辽阔，港叉曲折。沿湖山峦起伏，四季花木繁茂，绝对是春游的好去处!
从东湖出来，我们去逛一逛黄鹤楼吧!说到黄鹤楼，我不禁想起了唐代大诗人李白的《黄鹤楼送孟浩然之广陵》：故人西辞黄鹤楼，烟花三月下扬州。孤帆远影碧空尽，唯见长江天际流。传说在辛氏开设的酒店，一名道士为了感谢她的千杯之恩，临行前在壁上画了一只鹤，告之它能下来起舞助兴。从此，宾客盈门，生意兴隆。过了十年，道士复来，取笛吹奏，道士跨上黄鹤直上云天。辛氏为了纪念这位帮她致富的仙翁，便在其地起楼，取名“黄鹤楼”。
黄鹤楼位于蛇山之巅，与之隔江相望的是龟山。龟山脚上伫立着晴川阁，它与黄鹤楼、岳阳楼、仲宣楼合称楚天“四大名楼”。唐代诗人崔颢登黄鹤楼时写下的诗句“晴川历历汉阳树，芳草萋萋鹦鹉洲”中的“晴川”就是指的晴川阁。

武汉人好客，外地朋友来汉，带着他们环游一番，定让他们目瞪口呆。古琴台、黄鹤楼、归元寺、长春观……景点纷呈，古文化韵味很浓;江汉路一条街、洪山广场……美不胜收。
武汉还被称为千湖之省，最著名的要数东湖了，无论是晴天还是雨天，东湖的景色都别有一番韵味。晴天，在艳阳的照耀下湖面好似撒下了崭新的金币，五彩缤纷，令人目眩;雨天蒙蒙的雨丝像珠帘垂落在湖面，湖里欢快的鱼群翩翩起舞、追逐嬉闹。
武汉的小吃享誉全国。精武路的鸭脖子、吉庆街的大排档、户部巷的早点等等。不吃蔡林记的热干面，就等于没来过武汉。

our shool, wuhan heping middle school, lies in the center of wuhan city. it was just built and has the perfect size. the school yard is two hundred meters long, one hundred meters wide, and is surrounded by trees.
when you walk throught the front gate, there is a huge garden that greets you with every kind of natural things. to the left is the school library in which there are more than 100, 000 books. to the right is the experiment building. in the very middle of the school yard stands the teaching building that stretches for one hundred and fifty meters. this teaching building has four floors with the teachers' offices at either end of each floor. standing on the top of the teaching building, you can see a flower bed. behind the teaching building is a large playground on the right side. the students often do sports here after class. to the left lies the dining hall which can hold 500 people. this is our school, a beautiful one.
our school, wuhan heping middle school, is in the center of wuhan city. the school yard is two hundred meters long, one hundred meters wide, and is surrounded by trees. it is 20, 000 square meters in area.
when you walk into the school yard, you will see a wide road in front of you. on your left, you will see the school library in which there are more than 100, 000 books. on your right is the experiment building, walk ahead,and you will see a beautiful garden in front of you. when you go through it,there stands the teaching building: it has four floors with the teachers' of rices at either end of each floor. behind it, there stands the dining-room on the left side. to the right lies the playground where the students often play football. this is our school, a beautiful one.
