ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,

i am chinese. i am proud of being a chinese with five thousand years of civilization behind. i've learned about the four great inventions made by our forefathers. i've learned about the great wall and the yangtze river. i've learned about zhang heng(张衡)and i've learned about zheng he(郑和).who says the yellow river civilization has vanished(消失)?i know that my ancestors have made miracles(奇迹)on this fertile land and we're still making miracles. who can ignore the fact that we have established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devised our own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites into space, and that our gnp ranks no. 7 in the world? we have experienced the plunders (掠夺) by other nations, and we have experienced the war. yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----china, unyielding and unconquerable!

i once came across an american tourist. she said, china has a history of five thousand years, but the us only has a history of 200 years. five thousand years ago, china took the lead in the world, and now it is the us that is leading.my heart was deeply touched by these words. it is true that we're still a developing nation, but it doesn't mean that we can despise (鄙视) ourselves. we have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. we have reasons to say proudly： we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition (雄心) is even bigger, our challenges (挑战) are great, but our will is evengreater.

i am chinese. i have inherited (继承) black hair and blackeyes. i have inherited the virtues of my ancestors. i have also taken over responsibility. i am sure, that wherever i go, whatever i do, i shall never forget that i am chinese!

我是来自xx的xx，今天我国旗下演讲的题目是：《拼搏改变命运，励志照亮人生》

时至今日，已是一年新春。一曲日光如月，万里朝阳生辉。在这万物复苏的春天里，你是否有了新的打算，做好了充分的准备，迎接新的挑战?在这里，我想向大家提几点倡导，希望对大家有所帮助。

一、制定目标，奋勇前行。

古人云：“凡事预则立，不预则废。”战神拿破仑也曾经说过：“所有的事都要有统一和决断，因此，成功首先不是站在自信的一方，而站在有计划的一方。”每个人的人生之旅皆是从选定方向开始，没有方向的帆永远是逆风，没有方向的人生不过是在不停地绕圈子。西撒哈拉沙漠中的旅游胜地——比赛尔，在很久以前，是一个只能进、不能出的贫瘠之地。在一望无际的沙漠里，一个人如果凭着感觉往前走，他只会走出许多大小不一的圆圈。后来，一位青年在北斗星的指引下，成功地走到了大漠边缘。这位青年成了比赛尔的开拓者，他的铜像被竖在小城的中央，铜像的底座上刻有一行字：新生活是从选定方向开始的。同学们，你的方向选定了吗?你的计划是什么?你的目标又是什么?只有有了计划与目标，我们才能做到合理地安排时间，合理地分配精力;我们才能在接下来的征程中有的放矢，事半功倍，才能让我们的学习变得有趣而高效。“有什么样的目标就有什么样的人生。”这话出自世界顶尖潜能大师安东尼·罗宾之口，但仅仅有了方向还不够，还要沿着这个方向坚定不移地走下去。

第二、坚定的信念。坚定信念。

磨练意志有这样一种力量，它可以使人在黑暗中不停止摸索，在失败中不放弃奋斗，在挫折中不忘却追求。在它面前，天大的困难微不足道，无边的艰险不足为奇。这种力量，就叫做信念。拥有积极思想的人，对任何事都抱着乐观的态度，即使遇上挫折，积极者也会认为那是成功前的必经考验。只要生命不息就要坚持到底，我们不是为了失败才来到这个世界上的。这个世界不愿意听见失败者的哭泣、埋怨者的牢骚，在我们的字典里没有“不可能”、“没希望”、“失败”与“放弃”这样消极的字眼。我们要让每天的奋斗像冲洗高山雨露，像铸就金字塔的砖木，我们要一步一个脚印、一步一个台阶地建造成功的殿堂、迈向辉煌的.顶点。我相信滴水穿石的道理，我相信所有成功的法则，每一次的失败都是下一个成功的开始，每一次的皱眉都为下一次舒展的笑容。同学们，只要生命不息，就要坚持到底!此时此刻，我们每个人的身上都洋溢着青春的活力，每个人的心中都充满着奋进的激情。

第三、责任感。

责任是一种催人奋进的力量，是一种担当的情怀，作为一名英华学子，我们满怀青春的梦想，背负着肩上的责任，明天正一步步走来。责任如阳光，能激发潜能;责任如甘露，能净化心灵;责任如烛光，能照亮人生。勇于担当，源于强烈的责任感。没有昂扬向上的精神状态，没有舍身忘我的拼搏精神，学业难以成功。古人云，“大事难事看担当，顺境逆境看襟怀”。实践担当的精神，提升担当的能力，做到敢担当，能担当，会担当，善担当。自古以来中国传统文化中就有修身，齐家，治国，平天下为准的责任意识、担当精神。花木兰替父从军体现的是一位儿女对父母、对家庭的责任;精忠报国体现的是南宋名将岳飞对国家的责任;先天下之忧而忧，后天下之乐而乐，体现的是范仲淹对人民的责任。

让我们把握住20xx个美好的春天，把理想化为宏图，把计划付诸行动，荡起理想的双桨，自强不息，破浪前行，奉献青春年少的智慧，展现英华学子的风采。我相信，在我们共同的努力下，我们的明天一定会熠熠生辉!

youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals.

years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being &bs heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what‟s next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there‟s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

when the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80. that‟s all ! thank you!

it is undeniable that the worsening environment has become the biggest concern of the present-day world. land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion. waste gases poison the air we breathe. the rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in them from factories. it is probably no exaggeration to say that deterioration of the quality of the environment threatens the existence of mankind itself.

some people are of the opinion that the environmental problem is the price we have to pay for economic development. but i do not think that this argument is valid. after all, what is the point of economic growth if people’s lives are adversely alfected by worsening environmental pollution?

there is plenty of evidence to show that sustainable development can be achieved by balancing economic growth with protection of the environment. the key to achieving this is to make people aware of the seriousness of the problem. both governments and ordinary citizens should join hands to make this world a better place to live in, not only for ourselves, but also for future generations.
